Newest Drop, Serious Stuff...

Hey NoFi Nation!

This blog is not from the team, but the founder. This week's drop is one that means a lot to me, personally, so I thought it best to be the one to write y'all.

My eldest daughter (and biggest fan of this project) wanted to help. She loved the concept of the quarterly drop, and especially loved the concept of donating a portion of the proceeds to charity. So, she got motivated and sent me the design you see before you.

I am not Christian, nor do I aspire to be. But, I can attest to the wisdom that is present in any holy book (if one is willing to search it). The verse she happened to pick could not have fit any better into the message of "Please stay". Listen, Christian or not, I am a firm believer that you should have SOME kind of faith. This is the exact reason I believe that. These books, the ancient tomes handed down over hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of years, contain all the knowledge and comfort a human could possibly need to get through the roughest of times. The wisdom in this drop is so important, I have done something I never thought I'd do - we officially have 2 designs in "Quarterly Drops". That was never in the plan, but if we can raise money to help prevent these tragedies, I'd be a damn fool to not include it.

This one hits close for her and myself. I've buried a lot of friends and family. She has made attempts, and has had friends also make attempts. Suicide doesn't take the pain away, it gives it to someone else. If you're considering suicide or self-harm, please stay.

It also put into stark relief another concept I've found myself dwelling on. Some people will hurt themselves because they think the are failures or have failed. I have failed so many times, and the darkness that follows is not an easy one to bear. But, if I have ever had anything resembling advice, it is this: you have not failed if you have not quit.

Don't quit.

NoFi Nation, I love you. If you feel no one else does, know that I do.
